After cooking, use a metal spatula to remove leftover baked-on food pieces and a paper towel to wipe the pan. If food still remains, rinse the pan with hot water and use a soft bristle brush to help. Thoroughly dry your pan before storing. ICON pans are dishwasher safe; however, washing them in the dishwasher will remove the pan’s seasoning and it will need to be re-seasoned before the next use. Seasoning ICON Pans Lightly Scrub Pan Wash your pan in hot, soapy water with a sponge, cloth, or gentle scrubber. This will prevent any unwanted remnants from getting under your seasoning. Dry Pan in Oven Place a sheet of aluminum foil on the oven rack below, then pre-heat your oven to 400°F. Dry the pan for 3-5 minutes, or until thoroughly dry. Wipe with Sunflower Oil Once dry, remove the pan from the oven (pan will be hot) and cover the surface with sunflower oil. For gas stovetops, wipe the excess oil around the exterior of the pan.
