When it comes to making sauce, gravy, or other liquidy foods, the saucepan is your go-to. Its high, straight sides lend itself well for frequent stirring or whisking that comes with making sauces, limiting spilling. And the smaller surface area holds heat well and limits evaporation. As part of our D5 Stainless Collection, this Saucepan is made with our patented process that bonds 3 layers of stainless steel with 2 layers of aluminum. It distributes heat more evenly and slowly, eliminating hotspots, so your food doesn’t stick or burn. For an added touch of style, it has a timeless brushed finish that adds a bit of texture and refinement to your kitchen and is easier to clean. At 1.5 quarts in size, it’s just right for personal, delicious sauces. To keep your All-Clad looking brand new, we recommend washing your cookware with a soap and sponge instead of the dishwasher. Like all our bonded cookware, it's handmade in the USA at our Canonsburg, PA factory with ultra-durable materials that'll last a lifetime and never go out of style. Comes with a flat, stainless-steel lid to lock in moisture. Handles & handle loops are made in China.
Features high, straight sides to assist with stirring a smaller surface area to hold heat and limit evaporation - perfect for making sauces or heating liquids
5-ply bonded construction with alternating layers of stainless steel and aluminum for warp-free durability and supremely even heating that eliminates hotspots
For an added touch of refinement, it features a beautiful and easy to maintain brushed finish and fitted, stainless-steel lids

Heat-resistant stainless-steel handles, designed a comfortable grip and permanently secured with stainless-steel rivets, and flared rims for drip-free pouring
I always get nervous when Amazon reviewers say something is a knock-off, but this a a real All-Clad pot. Looks and works great. It is heavier than a cheap pot...but you're getting five layer and the pot is clad in stainless steel. It's perfect.All-Clad always delivers, love the finish and sturdiness of the pot. Barkeeps friend is the best cleaner for this pot. This is our 2nd All-Clad Pot. We bought our 1st All-Clad pan,1.5 quarts, from Bed, Bath and Beyond off the clearance rack over 18 months ago. We love it for even heating and sturdiness. Unfortunately, All-Clad pots and pans are wickedly over priced, but are really really good. So we have to wait for sales to buy more. Unfortunately my wife did buy a cheaper 3 quart from Cuisinart last year at the same time I bought the All-Clad. The Cuisinart pans sides have already warp and it’s dented around the handle rivets from stress. She admits the All-Clad is a much better pot, she doesn’t like the prices. We have owned Calphalon, Emeril and Tramontina pots and pans in the past and All-Clad is the best one for us. Now we just have to look for sales and look at clearance racks to get a complete set. Oh we did find a frying pan at of all places, Macy’s clearance. The box was badly damaged but the pan was perfect.Cooking for one, this is my “go-to” pot for almost everything!Great pots. Easy enough to clean and you don't have to worry about a coating coming off. I replaced some junk Breville pots with two of these. We already have a number of D5 pans, bought at decade ago. This one is nice - it’s brushed! The quality was predictable. These are not low grade, low quality tools. All the highest recommendations. After reading all kinds of reviews on lots of sites, I ordered one each of the All Clad 3 qt D3 and D5 pots from Amazon to compare for myself knowing that I would have to pay shipping to return one or the other. It was a test well worth the shipping $$.The D5 was by far the best for me no matter the difference in price and I will continue to buy only the D5.1. The D5 is a much more balanced pot especially with the extra handle. The Long handle is also set at a slightly flatter angle which helps with the balance and lifting, particularly since I am a short person. I could not tell the D5 was heavier than the D3 as some site stated.2. The pouring lip on the D5 is less sharp than on the D3 (I didn't like the D3 lip at all) and makes it easier to pour the food where you want it and not down the side of the pot.3. I like the D5 Brushed Steel better than the shiny silver D3 although the lids on both are shiny. It also seems to water spot less. The D5 went in to and out of the Dishwasher in great style and I use/wash them several times a week. I am not new to stainless steel cookware and realize that some foods may require a little extra cleaning if anything has stuck to the bottom or around the rivets attaching the handles but this has only happened once with a stew and came off easily with a plastic scrubby.4. Some reviewers said the D5 heats a little slower, but I did not find this the case. With the extra layers, the D5 does seem to spread the heat more evenly and I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked for making my favorite fudge. I have always used my Stainless Steel pressure cooker pot to make fudge, but I found it sometimes burned the butter on the bottom because of ridges in the pot bottom. No such problem here with the smooth flat bottom.5. This pot will be used on my new Bosch induction cooktop....when we finally get it off the living room floor and installed. (Farm family and the farm work comes first. LOL) All tests were done on my Farberware induction hot plate and I expect even better results on the Bosch.6. I do wish the smaller pots were less expensive. I purchased the 3qt on Amazon at the same price as other sites, but NONE of them have the 1.5 or 2 qt at a decent price compared to the 3qt. Guess I will add to my collection over time.Bottom line: I am sold on the All Clad D5 line and will be buying more. This is shallow like frying pan with squared sides. Not the items fault, but I didn’t expect that from the picturesFinally, got the D5 at the Warehouse Deal at $150plus HTS after checking it out for the longest time. Its raised wall, pouring lip, and gentle curved bottom tick off all my checklist. It is a lot of money to drop on a small 2QT pan, but you get what you pay for. This small pan weights a ton! Any bigger; I won't be able to lift it :). The lid feels thicker than my other All-Clad. Got this for cooking butter for making cookies for my kiddo. When my kiddo grows up, he can take this pan to uni dorm to boil eggs, one person service soup, and make instant noodle :).You only need few quality pans that suit your lifestyle. Hold on to your money until you find the right piece. All Clad is the best cookware available, in my opinion. The two 1.5 saucepans are excellent. Sadly, the packing was not up to scratch, as the attached photos show. Fortunately, the protruding handle was not damaged. To be fair, the product was not shipped my Amazon.ca, but rather by a secondary supplier -Kitchen Essentials. The pan delivered to me today and again, same problem that I saw in the 10 pieces set ,small pits on the bottom of the pan and corrosion? Also the handle was scratched! But WHY???? isn't it All-Clad?? Where is quality control??? Have I been unlucky for the second time??? I think if I use it the pits get bigger? Not sure though.I haven't used it yet. I washed it but no improvement. Most likely, I will be returning this pan.Such a shame and waste of time ???If you can find All-Clad, made in USA pots, discounted, you can't go wrong as a cook. This purchase was a warehouse deal and the bet is, as America's Test Kitchen has proven, All-Clad pots can take a beating without being more than cosmetically imperfect. I couldn't even find any cosmetic issues on this item. The d5 five ply saucepan is the first pan I've been able to walk away from that doesn't scorch tomato sauce on the bottom. It heats up the sides as well as just the bottom. It works really-well on an induction stovetop where cheaper pots with welded bottom plates, allegedly rated for induction, grumbled and staggered along with hot spots. The long handle has a grippy bump, doesn't overheat and can be braced along your forearm, but also has a big assist from the 'helper' handle. If you can do the upfront outlay in money for value, I found it worthwhile.I purchased this All Clad cooking pot for my husband as he really appreciates exceptional quality in his cookware. We have several All Clad pots and he specifically wanted this 3 quart pot. He has been delighted with it. It is the perfect size and he especially likes the additional gripping handle. It is well made with superior craftmanship and built to last. I would recommend this product wholeheartedly!
